The Business Analyst will report to the Associate Director Health Care. In close cooperation with the Market Access Local Team, the jobholder develops regional access strategies, value communication and concepts. The Business Analyst ensures/fosters regional market access for the relevant products within the product/indication portfolio. The incumbent is also responsible for the evaluation, development, implementation and monitoring of innovative projects and cooperation/contracting models with health insurances and service providers, and develops new business models.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Processing and consolidating information from the healthcare and pharma-economic market environment for the product/indication portfolio.
Development of the regional access value communication and implementation of sustainable activitiesand materials for the Market Access Local teams.
Evaluation, design and implementation of new, innovative cooperation models.
Effective monitoring of existing contracts between the company and contract partners in the German Health Care system.
Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations as well as the Company Policies in all activities.
Close cooperation and alignment with Commercial and Sales as well as Medical Functions in order to align local access related strategies.
Exchange and alignment with global access functions and decision making committees, in terms of approval for local access business cases (e.g. local contracting with sick funds).
Development and optimization of appropriate dashboards and benchmarks for analysis and interpretation of regional product performance.
Skills/Knowledge required:
Strong identification with the Company values.
Has a University degree or post graduate diploma in science, health economics or comparable studies, possibly with health policy (additional) education or experience from comparable positions in the pharmaceutical industry or the statutory health insurance (GKV) in the area of health care &
contracting. A PhD would be an asset in this position.
An additional asset would be a medical background or experiences within the Company product/indication portfolio.
Has deep knowledge about the German Health Care system as well as selective contracting (AMNOG, legal pricing, dispense, taxation and reimbursement framework, e.g., German drug law, Law on
Pharmacies, Social Code Book, Regulation on Pharmaceutical Prices).
Tact, diplomacy and discretion - excellence in anticipation, innovation, execution, successfully proven in various processes.
Ability to influence and persuade external parties, proven success in negotiations with external stakeholders.
Ability to set right priorities and to work to tight deadlines (flexible in working time).
Strong analytical, financial and communication skills.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, acts as good internal and external communicator, a representative appearance is essential.
Flexible, team member with positive attitude.
Good knowledge of English language.
Good technical knowledge of all Microsoft programs.
