- Support the warehouse supervisors & staff
- Participating in defining future processes and translating into functional requirements
- Categorize issues and escalate where necessary to the appropriate next level
- Provide solutions for equipment failures like RF scanners, printers, PCS etc.
- Prepare system and performance tests where necessary
- Manual software installation where applicable & Altiris delivered packages (automated)
- Support of basic MS-Windows & MS-Office setup
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (client- and Server environments), network protocols as well as Microsoft office products.
- Detailed knowledge about PC hard- and software standards and components.
- Experienced in Internet-, E-Mailing usage and standards.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional.
- Good knowledge of Service Desk tasks and key performance indicators.
- Acts customer focused and service oriented.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work individually or in a team environment
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Training in an IT-related job and at least three years of relevant IT support role experience.
- Good knowledge of support processes: incident, problem and change management.
- Very good communication skills
- Fluent in English and German
